Brentwood has a nationally ranked dance team called the Music City All Stars. They have youth, junior and senior squads that all performed admirably at the Ohio Convention Camp at the beginning of this season. Each division is divided by age but all of these talented youth work together at home to prepare for events.
The youth, junior, and senior teams earned superior trophies, placed first in their home routines, and earned bids to attend the National Championships next February in Orlando, Florida. Additionally, the Music City All Star Senior team earned the elite leadership team award, which is voted upon by the more than 300 camp attendees as the team they look up to the most and would aspire to join. 
“Successful is an understatement for our camp experience. I already love what I do, but times like these reconfirm my decision,” said MCAS co-founder and owner Valerie Reynolds. Unable to attend with a week old newborn, Kirstin Hawk co-founder and owner eagerly awaited updates from Ohio and said “seventy seven dancers attended this convention camp, and we couldn’t be prouder of this group of girls.”
The teams work diligently on jazz, pom and hip-hop skills with elements of ballet, acro, and leap and turn techniques rounding out their performances. They compete in UDA competitions throughout fall, winter and spring, leading up to the National Championships. Based on the results of the Nationals, teams can bid to represent the U.S. at the Dance Worlds competition in April. This group has accomplished that goal for the past 4 years.
