In an effort to help women make the time to get a mammography, Belk and Charlotte Radiology have made mammography mobile because they understand that your life is constantly “on the go.” The caravan will come to Cool Springs Galleria on August 20th and 21st. Take advantage of this free screening.
The BelkGives On The Go Mobile Mammography Center, a 39-foot-long, state-of-the-art screening center on wheels, will stop at Belk at Cool Springs Galleria, during the week of August 20-21 to offer free, convenient mammogram screenings. Women age 40 and over with no breast concerns, who have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months and who have a primary care physician that results may be sent to, are eligible by calling 855-655-BMMC (2662) to schedule an appointment.
All screening exams are performed by Charlotte Radiology’s licensed, female mammography-certified technologists. A board-certified radiologist, specialized in breast imaging will interpret the mammogram. Confidential results will be sent to the patient and her primary care physician.
The unit will travel for 49 weeks this year offering services. They will visit 113 stores before January of 2014 bringing convenient, digital screening and awareness to all Belk markets. This is a $6 million investment, marking the retailer’s deep commitment to women’s health issues and breast cancer education.
