Heart of High Hopes Award Given to Ricky Scott

Ricky Scott

High Hopes Development Center honored long-time advisory board member Ricky Scott with the prestigious Heart of High Hopes award during their annual High Hopes & Hops event Sept. 23. The event, created by Ricky and his wife, Lori, raised over $70,000 for educational and clinical programming and professional development for High Hopes staff.

The Heart of High Hopes award is an honor given to an individual who has made a significant impact to further the High Hopes mission. During the event, High Hopes Executive Director Gail Powell presented Scott with the award.

“We continue to be amazed by how generous Ricky and Lori are with their time and their friendships to support our mission,” said Powell. “Lori is a therapist at High Hopes, and Ricky serves on the High Hopes Advisory Board. His heart for High Hopes is deeply rooted and his efforts follow suit.”

Scott is a member of the High Hopes Advisory Board and has served as chairman for several years. He has spearheaded events including High Hopes & Hops and the Giving on the Green golf tournament, held annually each May. He also served on the Building Committee during their recent expansion.

“We are extremely grateful for Ricky and Lori, whose love of High Hopes and continued support – not only through this event, but also the Giving on the Green golf tournament – mean to our team, the staff and all of the children and families we serve,” said Brandy Blanton, High Hopes Director of Development.
