1.Rule of Thirds
Turn on your phone’s gridlines. By doing so, you can easily use an old photography rule of thirds which means to break an image into thirds.
To turn on the grid for iPhone, simply -Go to “Settings,” choose “Photos & Camera,” and switch “Grid” on.
For Samsung, Launch the camera app, go to “Settings,” scroll down and switch the “grid lines” option to “on.”
2.Focus on one subject
By selecting just one subject for your main focus, it clears the clutter for the eye. By tapping on your smartphone screen, it will focus and provide light on your subject. After you’ve taken the photo, be sure to use filters or crop it to make it more vivid.
3.Embrace negative space
“Negative space” simply refers to the areas around and between the subjects of an image –and it can take a photo from “good” to “great.”
When you include a lot of empty space in a photo, your subject will stand out more and evoke a stronger reaction from your viewer.
3.Take your photo from a different angle
Most photos are taken straight on but by taking a photo looking up at a subject or standing over a subject, it can give a different perspective.
4.Use reflections
There are times when reflections are not the desired look, however, reflections can make for an interesting photo.
Using puddles or reflective surfaces like sunglasses can all be ways of capturing a unique photo.
5.Seeing the line
Whether it’s in nature or architecture, often there will be visible lines. These lines can give your photo depth and can make your photo look more purposeful as if you planned the lines.
6.Symmetry
An easy way to take an appealing picture is to find balance. Finding a row of items or a staircase but don’t forget to use the grid to assist in lining up the pieces correctly.
7.Look for repetitive patterns
You can spot these in elements when they have repeated over and over again. Be on the look out for line, shapes, and colors that are repeating.
8.Use color blocking
You may have seen this used and wondered how it was done. Color blocking is where a photo is black and white with one item in color. It can highlight the item you want to get the most attention. 9.Don’t zoom in
By zooming in on a subject, you will pixelate your photo. If you want to get closer to the subject, move closer. If not, take the photo and then crop it to your specific size. By doing so, it won’t compromise your photo.
