Old Hickory Lake
Old Hickory Lake, part of the Cumberland River system that has dams and locks, is another great regional place to tube, with almost 35 square miles of water surface.
You can lock through in a boat and make it all the way to downtown Nashville, boarding where the lake opens up. Most of the time the river is deep enough so, unlike at Percy Priest, for instance, you don’t have to worry or be with someone who knows the water extremely well to stay safe.
