WMC Names Evins Chief Medical Officer

Williamson Medical Center (WMC) has been busy with improvements and achievements of late. The most recent announcement is the promotion of Starling C. Evins, M.D. to the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) a newly created post. This role will serve as a liaison between WMC’s administration and the medical staff to develop and foster a fully functioning clinically integrated network.

Evins joined WMC almost 30 years ago and will now focus on the hospital operation rather than see patients. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my role as Williamson Medical Center’s chief of staff, but look forward to the additional challenges and opportunities this new role will present,” said Evins.

“To have someone with Dr. Evins’ experience be able to focus his energy full time on the medical team in this hospital is such a gift,” said WMC CEO Donald Webb. Succeeding Evins as chief of staff is Samuel Bastian, M.D. the former vice-chief of staff and taking on his old role is Heather Rupe, D.O.
