1. Public Safety Day at Brentwood Place

WHAT: The Brentwood Fire and Rescue Department will hold its 9th Annual Public Safety Day Festival from 9am-1pm, Saturday, September 28, 2019, in the Stein Mart parking lot located at 330 Franklin Road (in the Brentwood Place Shopping Center). The festival will include children’s activities, fire displays, police, and emergency medical vehicles. There will also be a residential fire sprinkler exhibition, a vehicle extradition demonstration to show how firefighters remove a person who is trapped in their car when involved in a vehicle accident, and new this year, an extrication with the assistance of the department’s new drone. If you need a car seat check, licensed professionals will be available to help.

2. Graceland Church Fall Festival

WHAT: The community is invited to a free Fall Festival at Graceland Church

There will be food (hot dogs, waters, chips), games, prizes, bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, hayride, live music with Nic Gonzales and Jaci Velasquez, and more.

3. Pickin in the Park

WHAT: Pickin’ In The Park is a casual venue for musicians to perform and a FREE event for all ages of the Spring Hill/Thompson’s Station community to enjoy. Food truck will be on site. Get there early! If it’s crowded, park in the First Baptist front lawn. Bring blankets and chairs. Harvey Park has a playground for kids.

4. Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild

WHAT: “America’s favorite zookeeper” Jack Hanna brings his Into the Wild Live stage show to the Schermerhorn, along with some furry and feathered friends. Be there as he shares stories and video footage from his worldwide adventures – from brushing a hippo’s teeth to eating with wombats. He’ll be joined onstage by some actual wild animals for a truly unique experience that promises to be fun for the entire family.

5. Sky Studios Free Musical Petting Zoo

WHAT: Join Sky Studios and Chick-fil-A Brentwood for a FREE Musical Petting Zoo on September 28, 2019 at Sky Studios! This event is open to all ages and all members of the community – no musical experience required. Feel free to drop in anytime 2pm-4pm and stay as long as you like.

Musical Petting Zoos are a fun, kid-friendly activity that lets budding musicians explore new instruments and have fun learning about music in an unstructured setting. We’ll get out all of our favorite instruments and give you a chance bang on drums, strum guitars, play the keys, shake a tambourine and discover the joy of music.

Plus, we’ll have FREE Chick-Fil-A nuggets (as long as supplies last) and great prizes and giveaways, including the chance to win a free month of music lessons!
