Top 5 Fashion Trends for Women in 2015

For women’s fashion in 2015, it is hard to narrow it down to just 5 trends; we definitely saw some overlap from last year. Lace was still trending, booties instead of tall boots and fast fashion. The likes of high street brands like Topshop, Zara, and H&M produced the trends they regarded worthy to the fashion consumer in what seemed like a minute. With this new fast fashion approach, there has been talk lately of the runway shows being a thing of the past and just releasing photos each season. However, with social media, we now more than ever are aware of trends.  So, here is our list

Leather-Whether it is vegan or the real thing, leather made a big appearance. From accents on shirts and dresses to leather pant and skirts.  There was a lot of leather to be found in stores this year.

Fringe- We’ve seen this trend for the last two seasons but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.  And even though we are here in Music City, the fringe trend is not so much western as it is about sophistication.

Capes- We know you are superhero mom running around each day solving the world’s problems however, the capes trending this year are more about a throwback to the 70s.

Fur Collars-We’ve seen sweaters and jackets embellished with fur collars this season.  There are even accessories like fur mitts, hats and  shrugs that have rising on the trending list.

Shirtdress- A classic that every Southern woman should have in their closet- a shirtdress.  Simple yet easy to layer with other pieces.  You can even wear these in the winter with skinny jeans or pants.

As we look to 2016, we are predicting more nods to vintage looks with florals and wider leg pants.
