If you have a family or are planning to have a family, deciding where to live is a big deal. Wallethub hopes to make that decision easier with their newest list of best places to raise a family in Tennessee. In this study, they ranked 58 cities across Tennessee.

Not surprisingly, with its high per-capita income, great schools and a long list of things to do, several of Williamson County’s towns and cities ranked high on the list.

Wallethub’s methodology included analyzing 21 livability factors, including playgrounds per capita, commute, weather, quality of school system, high school graduation rate, pediatricians per capita, property crimes per capita, unemployment rate, housing affordability and more. See all the livability factors here.

Based off these factors, three Williamson County cities made the top 10:

1st Franklin

Franklin topped the list. The study said it ranked first in “Family Life and Fun,” fourth in “Education, Health and Safety,” sixth in “Affordability,” and seventh in “Socio-Economics.”

2nd Brentwood

Sorry, Brentwood. You were a close second. Wallethub ranked Brentwood 20th in “Family Life and Fun,” first in “Education, Health and Safety,” fifth in “Affordability,” and fifth in “Socio-Economics.”

4th Spring Hill

Germantown ranked third, but Spring Hill was fourth. Wallethub put Spring Hill at 27th in “Family Life and Fun,” third in “Education, Health and Safety,” eighth in “Affordability,” and fourth in “Socio-Economics.”
