1. The Movie Gang Presents “Mad Max”

WHAT: The Movie Gang is hosting a Mad Max-themed evening at the Franklin Theatre, with a mini-motorcycle show, art show and a showing of “Mad Max Fury Road.”

The Movie Gang has teamed up with Franklin’s very own motorcycle lifestyle brand FRANKLIN MOTO to bring you a mini motorcycle show set up out front of the theatre. Just before the movie, come check out some of the nicest builds from around the community. From Cafe Racers to Harley Davidson’s and everything in between. In addition to motorcycles, there will be a Mad Max inspired art show created by local artist Jeff Bertrand.

WHEN: Friday, July 7th, beginning at 7pm. The movie begins promptly at 8pm.

2. Lee Greenwood Live

WHAT: Country music icon and Franklin resident Lee Greenwood will be performing two shows at the Franklin Theatre this weekend. Greenwood has more than 30 albums to his credit, seven #1 songs & 25 charted singles. He also won CMA Song of the Year in 1985 for writing “God Bless the USA.” The song has been voted the most recognizable patriotic song in America.

3.  SixtyFour at Mellow

WHAT: SixtyFour, a Beatles tribute band, will play outside Mellow Mushroom in downtown Franklin.  Bring a chair, grab some pizza and enjoy some of the best Beatles music around.This event is free and family-friendly.

4. Franklin Improv All-Stars

 

WHAT: You’re on the road. You’re on a plane. Perhaps you’re moving at the speed of light! In any case, summer vacations have everyone on the move. Join the Franklin Improv All-Stars as they navigate you through all the hilarity that ensues when you and your family decide to get away from daily stress… together?!! It’s a night of interactive improv comedy fueled by audience suggestions. Ths show is perfect for friends, the entire family, couples and singles to just laugh for a while.

5.  Owl’s Hill Free Hike Day

WHAT: Join staff members and volunteers at Owl’s Hill for a guided hike. This is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and small groups to come enjoy the trails of Owl’s Hill and get some exercise. The hike will be approximately two to three miles with some moderate hill climbs included.
