Tennessee Worst in Country For COVID-19 Cases by Population

Tennessee now ranks as the worst state in the country for new COVID-19 cases over the last week by population, reports Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC reports that Tennessee’s average daily cases per 100K over the last seven days is 135.6.

Following Tennessee is Oklahoma (110.6), Rhode Island (108.7), California (98.6) and Arizona (94.6). To see a full list of all states, click here.

Williamson County COVID-19 Stats:
As of December 17, the Tennessee Department of Health, reports the following:

  • Williamson County has 96.9 cases per 100K
  • An average of 192.6 new cases per day (over the last 14 days)
  • A total of 14,786 cases, representing 3% of all cases in the state
  • 6,201.5 cases per 100K residents
  • Over the last 7 days, Williamson County has averaged 1,203 tests per day
  • Over the last 7 days, the average percent positive was 17.9%

  1. Too bad we do not have a Governor who is unable to manage this tragedy statewide. HE IS NOT GETTING MY VOTE IN 2022.

  2. So glad I have a Governor who doesn’t impose statewide mandates that cripple our economy and allows its citizens to exercise care for its fellow man. What this article doesn’t say is what percentage of the positive cases required any medical treatment. People are going to get this virus it’s how we respond to it that matters. Well done Governor Lee!
