T. Nesbitt and Co, a home décor and accessories store, will open this Friday in downtown Franklin at 145 2nd Ave N. Owner, Trisha Nesbitt, is a long time Franklin resident. Trisha inherited an eye for home design and a knack for business from her parents, who were in the furniture business for 50 years. She also owned and operated a decorative accessories and gifts shop in Kentucky for eight years.
The items at T. Nesbitt and Co are a collection of unique pieces Trisha finds at national gift and accessory markets, flea markets, estate sales and even things she has collected over the years. “I knew I would have another shop someday,” she said regarding her items she has collected and will now sell in her store.
“I have a passion for decorating. It is never work to me—I absolutely love it. And I love change—it is totally enjoyable to me to get inspiration from items that I see. There are so many ways to create a new look!”
Trisha’s talents don’t stop at home décor. She’s been a realtor for 28 years and feels her two careers really go hand-in-hand. “I am very visual—so I am always redecorating and redesigning spaces that I see,” she said.
T. Nesbitt and Co will open on Friday the 19th. Regular hours of operation will be 10a-5p Tuesday through Saturday, closed on Sunday and Monday and the store will be participating in the Franklin Art Crawl on the first Friday evening of each month.
