The SSTMS Fusion Choir performed the National Anthem in front of a packed house for the Vanderbilt / Tennessee basketball game at Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gymnasium on Wednesday, February 11.
This was quite an honor for the choir to sing at such a large venue. Earlier in the year, Vanderbilt contacted Ashley Harris, Fusion Choir’s music director, to see if Spring Station would like to perform at one of their events. It was an easy answer—YES! Many family and friends attended the game to cheer on our choir.
Assistant Principal, Amy Seago said, “They were fantastic! They really did a great job and represented our school in an amazing way. They made me cry, it was so good.” Another fan shared with Mrs. Seago, “This was the best performance of the National Anthem that has been given here this year.”
