November 28 Player of the Week – Sponsored by Marla Richardson with Realty Trust Residential

Independence running back Troy Henderson is the Marla Richardson with Realty Trust Residential Player of the Week for Nov. 28.

The junior rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s 27-24 Class 5A semifinal win at Brentwood.

He gave the Eagles the go-ahead score with a 2-yard touchdown run with 45 seconds left in the contest.

Independence (14-0) battles Farragut (13-1) for the state title Friday.

Kendrell Scurry, Independence WR: Caught 10 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

Kaden Dreier, Brentwood QB: Threw for 97 yards and two touchdowns and had 30 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown in Friday’s 27-24 loss against Brentwood.

Landon Guidry, Independence WR/S: Caught seven passes for 95 yards and had an interception.

Brandon Hines, Independence QB: Passed for 269 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

James Deaton, Christ Presbyterian Academy RB: Rushed for 90 yards and had a 32-yard touchdown pass in Friday’s 33-20 loss against Liberty Tech Magnet.
