Scout’s Pub, located in the Westhaven neighborhood in Franklin, just launched several new menu items.
The new dishes are the creation of Executive Chef Josh Green. Chef Green uses local ingredients from local farmers and from the Homestead Manor farm in Thompson’s Station as much as possible in his dishes.
The new menu items include Chicken Nachos (which is not your typical nacho dish.) The nachos are topped with grilled chicken and hot white queso, but it’s the pineapple jalapeno crema that sets it apart, giving it a spicy but sweet finish.
Two new sandwiches are on the menu- California Burger, a turkey burger topped with candied bacon and Avocado Tuna (Chef Green’s favorite)- Sesame seared tuna with avocado, cucumber, cabbage, ponzu, sriracha aioli served on herbed ciabatta.
For dessert, Chef Green has created his take on the Strawberry Shortcake. Called Southern Strawberry Shortcake, this light dessert starts with a base of cinnamon sugar biscuits topped with fresh strawberries, fresh mint, and in-house made whipped cream.
