The City of Franklin lit up the square on Friday, December 1st, for the 2023 Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square.
Headlining the event was Matthew West. West is a five-time GRAMMY® nominee, ASCAP’s 2023 Golden Note Award recipient, and NSAI’s 2022 Songwriter-Artist of the Year. The opening for Matthew was Franklin favorite Quintavious Johnson, who appeared on America’s Got Talent at 12 years old. In addition, the Freedom Intermediate School choir, led by Director Candace Adams, returned this year to sing holiday favorites.
