WHAT: Dewey Frye is dead and the rest of his family is left to pick up the pieces — that is if they don’t kill each other first. Not only does matriarch Dorothy have to contend with sudden widowhood, but she’s also faced with church-committee harpy Ozella Meeks sticking her nose in the family business, Dewey’s snake-in-the-grass brother making a grab for her house, and two grown daughters reliving their childhood rivalry. Funerals bring out the worst, the best, and the funniest in people, and the Fryes are no exception. A big-hearted comedy about family — Southern-style.

5. Still House Sessions

WHAT: Backstage Nashville & Leiper’s Fork Distillery is proud to present Still House Sessions, an intimate night with top songwriters and their incredible music.

July 27th, Still House Sessions will feature three top Nashville songwriters, each with multiple No. 1 hits.

Dylan Atlman has written No. 1 hits for Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean and Jake Owen. His songs have been recorded by Chase Bryant, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, Eli Young Band, Will Hoge, Eric Paslay and many more.

Tim James, a Rutherford County, Tennessee native, may have been considered as a “late-comer” to songwriting, but his talent tells another story. A Grammy nominee, ACM Song of the Year nominee and a No. 1 hit songwriter, he’s doing what he loves and believing the best is yet to come. Tim has enjoyed success with King George’s 60th #1, Give It All We Got Tonight, as well as his cuts recorded by Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, Alabama, Chris Young, and Lee Ann Womack to name a few.

Trent Willmon is a full-time songwriter, performer, producer and publisher. Trent enjoyed a No. 1 hit with “Back When I Knew It All” by Montgomery Gentry, as well as Top 10 and Top 5 hits. Some of the many artist that have cut his songs are Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Merle Haggard, Blake Shelton, Julie Roberts and that only names a few.

Still House Sessions isn’t just another songwriter’s night, it’s an experience. Held in the artisan craft bourbon distillery nestled in the rolling hills of historic Leiper’s Fork, Leiper’s Fork Distillery along with Backstage Nashville brings to you Still House Sessions — an up close and an experiential musical affair with top writing Nashville songwriters.
