June is Great Outdoors Month Series Part 3
Last year we told you to spend your lunch break at Deerwood Arboretum and Granny White Park, so we decided to remind you of these great places again now that the weather is beautiful. The Rotary pavilion at GWP is large and inviting during the heat of the day with plenty of tables to enjoy your lunch.
The grounds offer plenty of shade with comfortable benches scattered around so you can find the perfect view to go with your lunch getaway. There is a children’s playground and ball park also available onsite. Two jungle gyms geared toward various ages, swings and a convenient water fountain make this the favorite spot for parents.
Restrooms by the ball field are open during park hours. You can reserve the ball field for your corporate team building too by calling 371-2208. Park hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Stop by and see what you have been missing.
