Dr. David Snowden, Director of the Franklin Special School District, released an end of year message to the community. In it he quotes Dr. Steven Covey by saying it is important to “begin with the end in mind,” when developing the system that will prepare students for the rigors of high school after leaving FSSD.
He thanked everyone from the students themselves, to teachers and administrators that make the school year a success. “It is only with the incredible parent and community support that we can accomplish the high goals we set for ourselves each year. Thank you all for a job well done!” This year the FSSD system went through a rigorous accreditation evaluation in preparation for the AdvancED Review Team.
The result was a fantastic review that stated: the FSSD “shows its commitment to children in academic accountability by providing the best trained educators that can be found. These teachers and administrators carefully examine the learning needs of each student, collaborate, and develop specific learning goals that are monitored and adjusted as needed.” Dr. Snowden closed his message saying he is excited to partner with you on your child’s educational journey and will see you all again on Wednesday, August 7th.
