On Saturday, January 5, all-American restaurant Ground West Franklin, located at 1409 West Main Street, opened.
This is the second location for Ground. You can also find them at 330 Mayfield Drive, Franklin.
The opening was announced on Facebook. Hours for the new restaurant are Monday- Saturday 11 a – 8 p, closed on Sunday.
Owner Matthew Gonzales shared his excitement about the opening of the second location. “Opening one restaurant much less two is nothing short of a dream come true. I could not have done it without the support of my family, and of course my staff and all my guests!”
In picking West Main as the location for his second restaurant, Gonzales told us that he felt more food options were needed in that part of Franklin.
“I know that if you don’t want to go to Downtown Franklin and you live over here there aren’t very many options. I wanted to capture the people who feel the same as I do, especially when you’re in a hurry. We also are very family friendly and felt that it would be a great fit as the baseball and soccer fields being so close.”
Ground opened their Mayfield Drive restaurant over three years ago. The fast-casual restaurant offers an expansive menu of burgers, baked potatoes, and salads. They also have other options such as shrimp po-boys and chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches.
