Grassland Middle School student Josh Crowley won the first round in the 27th annual National Geographic Bee and now has a chance at claiming a $50,000 scholarship. The school champions will take a written test and the top 100 scorers will be eligible to compete in the state bee on March 27. State winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC to compete in the championship rounds May 11-13.
