Three Brentwood City Commission seats are up for grabs in the next month. The vote is on May 2, but early voting begins on Wednesday and ends on April 27.
You can vote at: the Election Commission Office located at 1320 West Main Street in Franklin, The Brentwood Library, 8109 Concord Road, and the Brentwood Municipal Building, 5211 Maryland Way.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekdays, but closed on Good Friday, April 14. Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Four people are running.
John Byers
Byers is the only non-incumbent in the field. He works in the private sector for Aon Risk Solutions as director of sales. However, he serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement, the Young Leaders Council, Leadership Brentwood and the Martin Center, a senior community center in Brentwood. This is his first time running for public office.
