If you’ve never watched the Franklin High School Marching Band perform, then you are in for a treat! The Franklin Marching Band has a reputation of being one of the best bands in town. They’ve earned that reputation due to the band’s over 40 years of excellence.
The Franklin Marching Band has performed in the Tournament of Roses, in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (not once, but twice) and the Wind Ensemble & Percussion Ensemble performed at the 2013 Music For All Festival.
A few of their honors include being named the Champions of the BOA Jacksonville Regional, Grand Champion of the 51st Contest of Champions at MTSU (both awarded in 2012) and they’ve won 3 Tennessee Governor’s Cups (the latest one being last year).
We were so happy to get a few minutes with the band director to hear what makes the Franklin Marching Band one of the best. Check out our video.
