Jefferson’s, at 214 Ward Circle in Brentwood, specializes in wings, burgers and oysters.
I love places like Jefferson’s that offer a casual diner type of atmosphere but the service and food is well above the standard diner fare. Let me tell you, their burgers are some of the best, most flavorful burgers I’ve tasted.
When I go to a place known for its burgers, I always like to bring my husband. He is a true burger connoisseur and judges a restaurant based on their burgers. After tasting the mountainous Jefferson Burger (their house specialty, topped with bbq sauce and bacon), he said ‘now, that’s a downright tasty burger.’ So, it’s official–Jefferson’s burgers are man approved!
Another tasty burger at Jefferson’s is the Mushroom Swiss Burger. I would highly suggest substituting the standard side of fries for onion rings. Their onion rings are perfectly crispy and not soggy.
Jefferson’s is great for the wing lover. Their wing temperatures come in mild, medium, hot and, if you dare to try it, turbo! And, I must not fail to mention their oyster selection. Try them raw, baked or steamed. You can even order them Santa Fe Baked or Jefferson Baked, which means your oysters are covered in hot sauce, parmesan cheese and jalapenos.You can also grab a variety of salads and other sandwiches.
