Berry Farms and Publix announced back in the summer of 2015 that they would build a 46,000 square foot anchor store, supported by 20,000 square feet of additional retail.
Construction started last fall, and it looks like an opening date is within reach.
According to Kristin Cales, spokesperson for Boyle Investment Co. the developer behind Berry Farms, Publix is looking at a February 2017 open date, which is pushed back from the original date of late 2016 because of par-for-the-course permitting and weather delays.
The Publix site is located on the northeastern corner of Lewisburg Pike and Goose Creek Bypass
