Saturday, June 1st, brought some rain to Middle Tennessee but it didn’t keep bikers from enjoying the day. Cool Springs Harley Davidson put on BBQ, Bikes and Beer, an event presented by Operation Troop Aid. Operation Troop Aid is a 501 (c) (3) which provides care packages to troops overseas.
The ride started at Cool Springs Harley Davison next to the Cool Springs Galleria and took the scenic route planned by their very own Larry B. Larry led the route which ran through Williamson, Davidson and Chetham couties. In the midst of the ride, riders experienced some rain storms passing through. Staying safe was their main goal at this point in the ride. All riders were told to ride at their own ability in the pre-ride briefing. The ride led on to the Fontanel Mansion where crews had set up from Harley Davidson, Jack in the Box, 105.9 The Rock and more. After arriving at the Fontanel, the festivities were moved around to accomidate the inclement weather as it passed through.
All in all, a great time was had, cornhole was played, BBQ was served as well as a refreshing thirst quencher by Jack Daniels. Cool Springs Harley Davidson has a bike night planned for June 20th at Twin Peaks in Cool Springs. For more information go to www.hdcoolsprings.com or stop by and meet their very welcoming staff.
