Wakeboarding can be as easy as getting the right equipment, sitting down, holding on and standing up. Here are five steps to go from beginner to wakeboarder in five minutes.

3. Get your grip, position and stance

Place the back binding as far back towards the end of the board and align it so that your can press your weight directly on top of the rear fin, and angle the front binding slightly pointed towards the front of the board. Bend your knees and position yourself as if you are sitting in a chair, keeping the front edge of the board perpendicular to the rope and just above the water, with your knees together- or close enough so that they are not wider than your elbows.
