It’s a little ironic that one of the top 10 most famous doors is number 10 Downing Street, located in the city of Westminster. As the entrance to the headquarters of the executive branch of the British Government where the Prime Minister of England lives, it has invited many famous people.

The door is all black framed in white pillars and an arched glass transom with a vibrant white number 10. It has changed very little since 1772 with one small exception of a change from wood to a blast proof steel door as a result of an IRA mortar attack.
