Nashville is the it city for so many reason and now we can add “Winner” of the two latest singing reality shows.
Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake Shelton won “The Voice.” Boyd had a crazy ride throughout the competition with a save by judge Gwen Stefani and then to land on Blake Shelton’s team. On the finale, Boyd took the stage with Lynyrd Skynard singing “Sweet Home Alabama.” After a frenzy media tour Boyd will make his debut appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on January 3rd, 2015.
Vanderbilt Commodores won the College World Series in baseball but before 2014 ends they will add another national win to the list. The Melodores from Vanderbilt University brought home the prize from a short holiday season of “The Sing-Off.”
The Melodores, made up of 12 male students from Vanderbilt University are the first collegiate winners of the a cappella talent show. They took home a $50,000 grand prize.
Vanderbilt Melodores was founded in 2009, and lead singer Ted Moock is featured in the upcoming film “Pitch Perfect 2.”
