Traffic Headaches return on Busy Weekend

With football and festivals, including the Dog and Pony Show tomorrow at Thompson’s Station, lane closures are sure to add to the headaches of the Fall season. Some of the more significant closures will cause particular headaches going or coming from Spring Hill:

  • Friday September 26, 8PM through Monday September 29, 5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 southbound at MM 66 for drainage improvements. Three lanes will remain open.
  • Friday September 26 at 8PM through Monday September 29 at 5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, between MM 62 and MM 78, for HOV striping.
  • Thursday September 25 through Wednesday October 1, 1 PM, (excluding weekends), There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 in both directions, between MM 61 and MM 63, for blasting.

 

  •  Repair of SR 396W (Saturn Parkway) ramp to US 31S (SR 6)  Friday September 26, 8PM through Monday September 29, 6AM, The ramp from SR 396 West (Saturn Pkwy) to US 31 South (SR 6) will be closed for repairs. Temporary lane closures are also possible on US 31 (SR 6). Traffic will be detoured. Troopers will be utilized.

During the closure, all traffic will be detoured. Motorists traveling Saturn Parkway West (State Route 396) will be diverted to the US 31 North ramp. Larger, commercial trucks will be allowed to continue on Saturn Parkway and make a U-turn at the GM plant. Temporary lane closures are also possible on US 31 South near the ramp work. Traffic headed eastbound on Saturn Parkway will not be affected.
