Secure Your ID Days

Identity theft and fraud is no joke.  In todays world you need to protect everything that has your personal information printed on it. If you receive applications for “pre-approved” credit cards in the mail, but discard them without shredding the enclosed materials, criminals may retrieve them and try to activate the cards for their use without your knowledge.

Below are two free Shred Day locations for you to take all your high risk documents and get them shredded. Maps to both locations are also provide below.

  • On Saturday, April 18, 2015 the Better Business Bureau will host a national identity theft and fraud protection event in local communities across North America. Secure Your ID Day will be held at Lowe’s in Cool Springs at 3060 Mallory Lane. A shred truck from sponsor Iron Mountain will be parked in front of Lowe’s from 9 AM to noon, or until the truck is full. This shredding event is FREE and documents will be shredded on the spot.
  • On Friday, April 17, 2015 the Westhaven Town Center and Franklin Synergy Bank will host its third annual “Shred Day” from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A safe and secure shredding truck will be on-site to help people dispose of their personal and sensitive documents. The Westhaven Town Center and Franklin Synergy Bank are excited to bring this event back to Westhaven, as a way for the community to come together, while safely protecting their sensitive and personal information. The first 50 to attend and shred will receive a free hot dog lunch provided by Tiger Meat Hotdogs, Franklin Synergy Bank and Westhaven.
