With school starting soon, you may be looking for some new, quick, delicious breakfast ideas to satisfy everyone in the family. Try this Banana Cacao Almond Smoothie. It’s full of great ingredients that you (and your kids) will love! Plus it’s a breeze to put together. All of the spices can be purchased at Savory Spice Shop in downtown Franklin.
Ingredients
3 1/2 oz. tofu (about a quarter of a block)
1 banana
1/2 cup almond milk
2 Tbsp. almond butter
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. Organic Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 tsp. Ground Saigon Cassia Cinnamon
Pinch Grey Sea Salt
Pinch Cayenne Pepper to taste
Handful ice
Notes
Customize your smoothie by adjusting the spices and maple syrup to your taste.
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with sliced almonds on top or with a slice of banana on the side for a unique garnish.
