Mere Bulles is fine dining in the heart of the Maryland Farms area of Brentwood. This locally-owned gem is a bit off the beaten path as restaurants go, but they seem to like it that way. Known for steaks and seafood, a few stand-outs on the menu include the blue cheese chips, which make a fantastic starter, and the black kale salad — trust us, the name doesn’t do justice to such a beautiful salad.
The main restaurant is located in the original 1942 manor house of the horse ranch that bore the name Maryland Farms before it became the hub of the healthcare industry in Nashville over the past two decades. This local favorite is well-known for its she-crab bisque, and you’ll be dining among a unique mix of locals, visiting business executives, and the occasional tourist in the know about this “new-old” South favorite in Middle Tennessee.
Lately, Mere Bulls is becoming a local favorite for its half-priced bottles of wine during happy hour.
Mere Bulles is owned by Steven Smithing, who also owns Green Hills Grill in the Green Hills of Nashville.
