The Village

The Village is a brand new United Methodist Church in the Lenox Village/Nolensville area that began weekly worship gatherings in January 2016. Meeting  at 10am on Sundays at Sunset Middle School (200 Sunset Trail.) At The Village, they believe that everybody needs a village, a place where you can belong and grow to become all you were created to be. They desire to serve and love their neighbors and community, and  hope to see you soon.  Meet the team who works behind the scenes at The Village Church in Nolensville.

Lead Pastor – Travis Garner
Travis Garner-The Village The Lead Pastor of The Village is Travis Garner. Travis was a pastor on the staff at Brentwood United Methodist Church for over 10 years. During that time, he served as Pastor of Student Ministry and then as Pastor of Discipleship and Missions, overseeing the work of the Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Adult Ministry, and Missions and Outreach.

Travis graduated from Lambuth University and received his M.Div. from Vanderbilt Divinity School. He is married to Amanda, who is a Speech-Language Pathologist with her own practice in the Nashville area. They have three boys, Paxon, Asher, and Jude.

Travis loves drinking coffee, finding the best local restaurants on Yelp, reading, music, drinking more coffee, and cheering for the Fighting Illini, the Cubs, and the Green Bay Packers.
Worship Director Elias Dummer    elias dummer, the village
The Worship Director at The Village is Elias Dummer. When he’s not leading worship at The Village, Elias is the frontman for the worship band The City Harmonic and is the songwriter behind well-loved songs like “Manifesto”, “Holy (Wedding Day)”, “Let There Be Light” and “Oh What Love.” He is also a contributing writer for Huffington Post, Worship Leader Magazine, and WorshipTogether on topics related to worship and music. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Elias now lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Meaghan and their five kids.
Children’s Minister Joanna Cummings 
Joanna Cummings-The Village The Director of Children’s Ministry at The Village is Joanna Cummings. Joanna has a deep love for partnering with families to help children grow in their faith, and believes that “it takes a village” to form the faith of children. Joanna received her Master’s of Arts in Religion from Memphis Theological Seminary, and has been in ministry with children and youth for over 10 years. Joanna and her husband Chris enjoy creating up-cycled art, going on walks with their dog, Shalom, and drinking way too much coffee.
