May Brings Abundance – Salads

May Brings Abundance Series Part 3

In today’s fast paced and fast food society it becomes more difficult to make time to enjoy healthier food options. So during May we suggest you stop ordering the norm and choose a salad in honor of National Salad Month. There are an abundance of local restaurants offer salad options to meet your needs.

O’Charley’s in Brentwood and Franklin top the list of fantastic lunch and dinner salads. The portions are large and always fresh and the price is reasonable with fast take-out service. If you prefer to make your own salad, then drop by Whole Foods and enjoy the plethora of options with their “by weight” menu items. Zoe’s Kitchen is offering fresh greens daily as well in Brentwood, stop in and see what is new.

The Franklin Farmers Market will be open this weekend as well if you want to get the freshest home grown items to complete your perfect salad. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Factory you can browse to your heart’s content and talk with the farmers bringing you your favorite fresh greens.

IF you have followed our lead you have already enoyed beer, salsa, and BBQ so a salad will be a nice light option for your pre-weekend dining. Come back tomorrow to learn about burgers and boating.
