Today is National Dog Day and what better way to celebrate than by heading to the park with your pup!

Here is a list of local dog parks you should visit:

Freedom Run Dog Park – One-acre dog park located near entrance just before baseball fields at 2098 Turning Wheel Ln. Small dog section and large dog area with shade mostly in small dog area.

Harlinsdale Farm – Located at 239 Franklin Road, across from The Factory. Harlinsdale has one area for all dogs (not separate for small and large) and some benches for owners.

Maggie’s Bark Park – Spacious area located behind the Williamson County Animal Control and Adoption Center, at 138 Claude Yates Dr.

Barkwood Dog Park – Inside of Tower Park, Nutro Dog Park is divided into two fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Find it at 940 Heritage Way. Park officially re-opens May 20.

Nolensville Dog Park – Dogs are allowed to play off-leash in a designated area of this park, located near Nolensville Elementary School, at 2310 Rocky Fork Rd.

Thompson’s Station

Thompson’s Station Dog Park – With four acres of space and two areas for large and small dogs, this dog park is large enough to wear out even the most energetic pups. While you are there, check out the Community Gardens too.
