The city of Franklin Sustainability Commission is hosting an open house Tuesday, August 21 from 6-8 P.M. at Cool Springs Galleria. Your input is requested and a survey will be administered at the meeting. More than 160 citizens have already responded to the survey giving valuable insight into the thoughts, ideas and opinions of area residents.
Displays and interactive activities will highlight achievements in the center of the stage area in the mall. The activities give citizens the chance to voice ideas of how to move forward toward the goals. Children are welcome and light refreshments will be available.

Since 2009, nine of the 26 original actions on the plan are complete and 12 more are in progress. “The original Action Plan was created with significant community input and we want to continue that legacy” stated Andrew Orr. “We’ve used the Action Plan as a guide to accomplish some great things and now we’re asking the public to assist us again as we look to update the plan and keep moving initiatives forward, especially initiatives that result in cost savings.”
