
The Fairview Yellowjackets improved to 3-0 Friday with a 35-14 win at Stewart County.
Quarterback Kam Harris-Lusk led the charge with 272 passing yards and two touchdowns in the Region 6-Class 4A matchup.
His favorite target was wide receiver Sam Sanborn, who had six catches for 166 yards and a score.
The Yellowjackets jumped out to a 7-0 lead with a 67-yard touchdown connection from Harris-Lusk to Hunter Caldwell in the first quarter.
Josh Ortiz extended the lead to 14-0 with an 8-yard run in the second frame.
Caldwell recovered a fumble and returned it 73 yards to push Fairview ahead 21-7 in the third quarter.
Harris-Lusk’s 38-yard touchdown strike to Sanborn and Ortiz’s 8-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter capped the Yellowjackets’ scoring.
