The Franklin Road Academy Panthers (1-1) finally got their offense rolling Friday, but that still wasn’t enough to outgun Donelson Christian Academy running back Jayden Walker.

Walker rushed for 389 yards and three touchdowns and returned a kickoff 86 yards for a score to lead DCA (3-0) to a 48-34 win.

Walker opened the scoring with his kickoff return for a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

FRA responded with a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Eric Stoxstill-Digs to wide receiver Adonis Otey to tie the game at 7.

DCA exited the first quarter with a 14-7 lead with Jamison Greenway’s 8-yard touchdown reception.

The lead jumped to 21-7 with an 88-yard touchdown run by Walker.

Following a 1-yard touchdown run by FRA’s Adrian Roper, Walker struck again from a distance with a 61-yard touchdown scamper.

FRA closed its deficit to 28-20 before halftime with a 65-yard touchdown pass from Stoxstill-Diggs to Otey.

Stoxstill-Diggs connected with Lance Wilhoite for a 36-yard touchdown strike to narrow DCA’s lead to 28-26 (failed 2-point conversion).

A 1-yard touchdown run by Eli Thibado and a 41-yard fumble return pushed DCA ahead 41-26 to close the third quarter.

FRA’s Canaan Catlett scored on a 3-yard touchdown run to cut DCA’s lead to seven, but a 45-yard touchdown run by Walker pulled DCA away.

Stoxstill-Diggs finished with 163 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Otey had three catches for 97 yards and two scores.

FRA returns home to battle Goodpasture Friday.
