Sam Leon Pratt, Sr. age 88, of Franklin, Tenn., passed away Dec. 18, 2016.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sam was a local farmer, home builder and land developer. Longtime member and elder of the Peytonsville Church of Christ. Member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ.
Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by parents, John E. and Louise Meek Pratt; brothers, Johnny Pratt and Thomas Pratt; sister, Frances Henry. He is survived by wife of 67 years, Lois Adams Pratt; son, Sam, Jr. (Carolyn) Pratt; daughter, Gayle (Terry) Cost; grandchildren, Trey (Ashley) Pratt, Daniel Cost, Micah (Kyle) Cost, Benjamin (Teresa) Cost and Frances (Charlie) Blackard; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Slade Pratt, Benson and Stone Cost and Embree Blackard; brothers, Douglas (Hazelene) Pratt and Paul, Sr. (Betty) Pratt; sisters, Katie (Leon) Reed and Joyce Liggett.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Bro. Dan Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Trey Pratt, Daniel Cost, Micah Cost, Benjamin Cost, Charlie Blackard, Paul Pratt, Jr., Johnny Pratt, Alan Pratt, Alvin Pratt and Eddie Pratt. Honorary pallbearers will be all remaining nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willow Brook Hospice or Southern Hills Church of Christ.
