Ticks Are Out of Control This Spring!

Ticks seem to be running amuck this spring. If a tick isn’t landing on you, it could be landing on your pup. Then, your unsuspecting pet brings this gross and dangerous creature into your home — without even knowing it — putting everyone who lives in the house in jeopardy for disease like Lyme. Yikes.

“Ticks are really bad this year, even with using the Seresto collar,” says Jean Kessinger, co-owner of Three Dog Bakery in Franklin who also owns two dogs of her own. “The Seresto collar is a slow acting alternative to killing ticks & fleas.  It can have a repellent effect — as was my experience last year — but it does not kill the ticks until they actually bite the dog.” Popular topical solutions like Frontline and Advantix, which are absorbed into the pet’s skin, also only kill the ticks when they bite the dog or cat.

“What often happens is that the dog carries the ticks in and they end up on us,” she warns. To combat the problem, Kessinger recommends using a natural product to boost your pet’s defense against these pesky creatures, which in the end, will help protect you and your family too.

Earth Animal Flea & Tick Powder or Drops – Ingested by the pet to change its scent so fleas and ticks aren’t as attracted to the pet.

Earth Animal Flea & Tick Herbal Shampoo or Spray – Apply topically to repel fleas and ticks.

Ark Naturals Flea Flicker Tick Killer – A spray for dogs and cats that naturally repels and kills fleas, ticks and mosquitoes on contact.

Protect your pup this spring, and don’t forget about your family. Boost your pup’s protection the natural way with any of these featured products.
