The new music venue 6th & Peabody is hosting Music City Roots on Thursday evening. Music starts at 7 p with lineup that includes Sierra Hull, Lauren Morrow, The Milk Carton Kids, and more.

3. Local Natives at Marathon Music Works

Saturday, September 14, 8 p
Local Natives [Taylor Rice (vocals, guitar), Kelcey Ayer (vocals, keys), Ryan Hahn (vocals, guitar), Matt Frazier (drums), and Nik Ewing (vocals, bass, keys)] will perform at Marathon Music Works this weekend. $1 of every ticket sale will go toward supporting gender based violence intervention and prevention programs.
The Gloomies duo comprised of Andy Craig and Chris Trombley will also perform on Saturday. Front man Andy Craig and drummer Chris Trombley began their music career together when they met in 2013 and played in the band SACCO.

4. Darrell Scott at Franklin Theatre

Darrell Scott comes from a musical family with a father who had him smitten with guitars by the age of 4. Scott recently toured with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band and produced albums for Malcolm Holcomb and Guy Clark and being named “songwriter of the year” for both ASCAP and NSAI. 5. Motley Crue and Led Zepplin Tributes
