3. Tennessee State Fair

WHAT: The Tennessee State Fair proudly presents “On the Mooove,” its theme for the 2019 edition of this landmark event, which was inaugurated more than 150 years ago.

Operated and managed by a volunteer board, the Fair invites the community to share in the excitement of this year’s extravaganza taking place now through Sunday, September 15.

The Tennessee State Fair is an annual event that highlights what makes America and Tennessee great. Across the country, State Fairs are more than just a good time. They are hands-on exhibits of how we live our lives.

The Fair features arts and crafts, explores agriculture and allows attendants to have new and exciting experiences. From honoring the State’s best homemade apple pie to the thrilling rides, the Tennessee State Fair has something for everyone to enjoy.

4. WCS College Fair

WCS College Fair Features New Location and More Schools

WHAT: The WCS College Fair is just around the corner, and a new location promises easier access for students and parents. On Tuesday, September 10, more than 150 colleges and universities will have representatives ready to talk with WCS students.

5. BYOB Archery League

WHAT: Music City Archery’s Friday night league is now alcohol friendly and so much fun! Bring your own beer or wine and get ready for an easy-going archery experience. Cost to participate is only $12 a night. Don’t have your own equipment? No problem! They have plenty of bows and arrows for shooters to use for just an additional $5.

THE NAME OF THE GAME
League members with their own equipment can arrive up to 30 minutes early for unofficial warm-up. Once the clock strikes 7:30, there will be two official warm-up ends and then scoring begins. Scoring will consist of 10 ends of 3 arrows each on either a single spot or three spot target.

AWARDS
At the end of the 8-week session, there will be awards given out to the top 3 shooters of each shooting type (barebow, Olympic recurve, compound with sight pins, compound with sight scope). What type of awards? Bronze, silver, and gold medals along with gift cards. Only shooters that have eight scores turned in are eligible for awards. If you are going to be short on scores, they also have a league on Wednesdays at 7:00 but it is a no booze zone.
