1. Spring Hill Parks and Rec Memorial Day Splash

WHAT: The annual Spring Hill Memorial Day Celebration started in 2015 with the grand opening of Port Royal Park, and has continued as an annual event. The lively event kicks off with an official ceremony in the Veterans’ Plaza within Port Royal Park. It’s also that morning that the popular splash pad officially opens for the season! Enjoy a day of family-friendly live music, food, fun events and more.

2. Nashville Golf Open  


WHAT: 
The 2018 Nashville Golf Open (NGO) will be held May 24-27 at the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club in Brentwood, and online ticket sales will benefit WCS middle and high schools.

The NGO is one of 25 professional golf tournaments on the Web.com Tour, which features future stars of the PGA Tour. Country singer Jake Owens will also make an appearance at this year’s tournament as a sponsor-exempt player to help raise money for his charity, the Jake Owens Foundation. 3. Renaissance Fair

  
 
WHAT: It’s the last weekend for the annual Renaissance Festival.Travel back to 16th Century England. The Village of Covington Glen comes alive with the bustle of a Renaissance Marketplace. Over 60 skilled Artisans from all over the country display their wares from silks to swords; from gems to jewels. Flavors, aromas, and tastes of specialty foods and drinks greet the festival-goer. Hear the sounds of Renaissance musicians and merrymakers as they echo through the trees. Color, movement, and peals of laughter welcome those who thrill to the challenges of Games of Skill and Man-Powered Rides. Purchase tickets online here.

4. Studio Tenn’s Production of Grease

WHAT: Studio Tenn’s production of the beloved musical Grease hits the stage one last time this weekend, real-life husband and wife Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo will be portraying Rydell High’s most popular couple, Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, from May 10-27. Grease will be held at Jamison Theater at the Factory at Franklin. Tickets are on sale now at StudioTenn.com.

The two are perhaps best known for their appearances on America’s reality television sensation, American Idol, where DeGarmo found herself as a finalist on season three and Young a finalist on season five. Another American Idol local favorite, Melinda Doolittle will also join the production.

5. Movie Night at Crockett Park 

  
WHAT: Brentwood is kicking off the “unofficial start to summer” on Friday May 25 with a Movie in the Park. Disney’s Coco will be shown on a big screen starting at 7pm at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheatre in Crockett Park located on Volunteer Parkway. Food trucks will arrive at 5pm and serve pizza, ice cream and shaved ice. Local Latin artist, Alison Brazil, will also perform live music prior to the movie. The city would like to thank Audi of Nashville for sponsoring the movie in the park night.
