1. Hattie Jane’s Milk and Cookies Event

WHAT: Santa will make a special stop at Hattie Jane’s Creamery from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14. Tickets will include one photo with Santa and a special snack of Hattie Jane’s homemade cookies and milk from local Hatcher Family Dairy. The cost to attend is $15 for up to four people and $2 for every additional person. Extra photos with Santa are $5 each and both a digital and a printed copy of each photo will be provided.

2. Homestead Manor Cookie Decorating Class

WHAT: On Sunday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 p, Homestead Manor will partner with downtown Franklin’s Triple Crown Bakery for a cookie and cake decorating class, held in the antebellum property’s glass bar. A perfect event for a ladies’ afternoon out or a special time with children, pastry chef and owner of Triple Crown Bakery Alena Vaughn will walk through her cookie and cake decorating method, leaving guests with tips and tricks for their own holiday gatherings and parties.
Tickets for the cookie decorating class are $45 per person and include six cookies along with instructions and decorating materials, complimentary coffee, and a hot chocolate bar. Mimosas, champagne, and wine will also be available for purchase.

3. Leiper’s Fork Christmas Parade

WHAT: It’s a wacky, small-town Christmas parade with Santa greeting everyone just before the parade starts. Watch John Schneider from the Dukes of Hazzard as the Grand Marshal of the event. Kid Rock will also be joining his friends in the parade as well.

4. Country Music Hall of Fame Free Family Day

WHAT: The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is partnering with the Ford Motor Company Fund for the museum’s 10th Ford Community Day. Museum admission will be FREE from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, as a way to say “thank you” to the Middle Tennessee community and to reward lucky out-of-town visitors. Tours of Hatch Show Print and Historic RCA Studio B will also be free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The trio Runaway June made up of Naomi Cooke, Hannah Mulholland and Jennifer Wayne will be the featured performers at this year’s Ford Community Day. Museum visitors will have a special opportunity to hear the trio in a free concert before they join Carrie Underwood in 2019 for her Cry Pretty Tour 360.

5. Christmas on the Towne

WHAT: It’s the last show at the Towne Center Theatre in Brentwood. Christmas on the Towne is a wonderful Christmas cabaret of holiday songs – some old, some new and some with a twist that are sure to get you in the festive spirit. There will be pre-show entertainment and caroling before show with complimentary wine and photo opportunities.
