The Williamson County Youth Orchestra will be playing patriotic music in concert at the Nashville War Memorial Auditorium on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 3 pm to honor our Veterans.
Led by conductor Anna Maria Miller, the Williamson County Youth Orchestra is a full orchestra of more than 100 talented high school musicians from throughout the Mid-State area. They will perform a variety of patriotic music, including John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever,” “America the Beautiful,” “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” and a medley of the anthems from each branch of the U.S. Military, among other pieces.
Harry Chapman will emcee this exciting concert to honor our Veterans, which is free and open to the public.
The War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville is the perfect venue for this concert as it was dedicated in 1925 to honor the 3,400 Tennesseans who died in WWI; it has been the home of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra and the Grand Ole Opry. The Franklin High School JROTC will be presenting the colors to begin this family-friendly concert.
