The 65-horses, who called Franklin home for a ten-day vacation, are now ready for their performances at the Odysseo tent next to Opryland Hotel.
On Tuesday afternoon, we had a front row seat to a preview of the show and truly it is a show like no other that we have seen before. You can’t miss the white tent, the arches for the tent are 83 feet high and 203 feet wide. In bringing the show to Nashville it required 20 semi-trucks to transport the tent and a 276-ton mechanical crane for assembly.
We spoke to creator Normand Latourelle – one of the co-founders of Cirque du Soleil and renowned for combining different forms of artistic expression and reinventing the scenic space. Latourelle shared with us how he wanted a carousel in the production, a challenge as it weighs about 10 tons.
