Sheriff’s Department Seeks Cause of College Grove Fire

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is working to find out how a fire started on the side of the road on Pulltight Hill Road in College Grove, Tenn., and spread to burn nearly an acre of property.

A Good Samaritan spotted the fire around nine o’clock Tuesday night while driving near the Overlook on Pulltight Hill Road.  He notified a nearby property owner that the field near his house was on fire and firefighters responded.

The Good Samaritan’s actions not only prevented a major brush fire from developing, but saved homes in the area that were in the brush fire’s path.  The WCSO is seeking the Good Samaritan to thank him and ask him to come forward and tell investigators what he saw.

If anyone has any information or saw anything suspicious relating to the fire on Pulltight Hill Road this week, call WCSO Detective Scott Keen at 615-790-5554 Ext. 3226 or you can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000.  You may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
