Raptor Soccer Tops Nation’s Best

soccer roundup

Day 2 of the Williamson County Versus Soccer Tournament saw our local schools have a better Friday than Thursday, most noteably Ravenwood beating Norman North 1-0.

Norman North came into the match ranked No. 1 in the Nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Benham Alinejad had the game’s lone goal of an assist from Joe Roebuck in the first half.

Raptor goalkeeper Ryan James had a huge game in net, making several improbable saves to keep Norman North off the scoresheet.

Franklin’s 5-3 victory over Edmond North was also impressive.

Goals were scored by Kyle Sexton (2), Chance Cuthbert, Eli Hiskey, and James Coady.

The tournament continues Saturday and Sunday with plenty of time for teams to catch Jenks (OK) at the top of the standings.
