Randy Clinton Bean, age 69, of Franklin, TN passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on January 19, 2025 while under Hospice care.
He was born in Fayetteville, TN to the late James Harlin Bean and Annie Ruth (Hall) Bean.
He was a dedicated husband, and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Katrina Dianne (Slaughter) Bean; son, Christopher Barry Bean.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Charles Anthony Bean.
Randy was retired from CSX Railroad where he was an engineer. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. His nephew James Anthony (Brenda Sue) Bean, great nephew Zachary (Kaitlyn) Bean, as well as friend Josh (Kendra) Anderson went on many hunting expeditions over the years. Randy and Dianne both resided in Franklin, TN when they met.
Randy was playing softball at a local ball park and Dianne was working at the concession stand. They were married for 49 years, but started dating 3 years before that. Randy was also a HAM radio operator and made many friends over the world through his radio. He was also proficient in Morse Code.
Randy is survived by his aunt Ova Sue Bean of Napier, IL, cousin Teresa Gaines Stapelton, and cousin/sister Cathy (Teddy) Henley. Randy is also survived by his sisters (in-law), Elaine (Roger) Buttrey, and Carolyn (Steve) Clark.
Randy was loved by his friends and family and will never be forgotten. We know he is in a better place and will see him there.
